Energy balls, power balls, protein balls, bliss balls - are in essence the same!
This recipe is so flexible - you may substitute or even skip some of the ingredients below to adjust to your taste/diet/what is in your cupboard. Once the texture suffices to roll a ball that sticks, you have an energy ball! As always buy ingredients that are local if possible and the best quality that you can afford.
These are energy rich, fibre rich, antiinflammatory, gut friendly and much healthier than processed snacks like biscuits, choc bars, cakes made with refined sugar. Remember all energy we consume is still calorific if we eat more than we burn off. The lower GI index will allow you to feel fuller for longer reducing sugar cravings.
